Reminders It is recommended that the water filter be replaced every 6 months, when the indicator light comes on, or as needed. A clogged or incorrectly installed water filter will reduce the water flow to the ice maker and dispenser, which could result in small ice cubes, low ice production and/or longer dispensing times Flushing the system is needed every time the filter is changed or once the refrigerator is installed to the water supply line for the first time. Air in the water system may cause dripping at the dispenser. Water Filters branded KitchenAid or EveryDropTM are Certified Genuine Parts (CGP). Please note that the use of a CGP filter is recommended for maximum refrigerator performance. To purchase a EveryDropTM water filter, you may visit your local retailer or visit EveryDrop online. NOTE: Consult your Use and Care Guide for replacement filter information. If you would like to download or view product literature for your appliance, please visit our Manuals and Literature page.
